In order to thank the people from all walks of life in Shenzhen for rebuilding the flood-stricken people’s homes in Shantou, the second batch of commendation conference was held at the Nanshan Donation Center in the afternoon of Sep 20, 2018, which was held by Donghu Chamber of Commerce of Luohu District and coordinated under the Shenzhen Municipal Donation Center and SFDRR (Shenzhen Federation of Disaster Reduction and Relief). The representatives participated in the conference includes: Yang Qin - The NPC member of Shenzhen and the president of SFDRR; Huang Zhijian - the President of the East Lake Chamber of Commerce; Chen Yibin - the captain of volunteer of East Lake Chamber of Commerce; Lin Qiwei - Party branch secretary of East Chamber of Commerce; Zheng Chubiao - the president of Shenzhen General Chamber of Commerce of Thailand and China; Lu Shengzhong - the Chariman of Shenzhen Yale Electronics Co., Ltd etc. At the conference, President Yang gave a speech to thank all the entrepreneurs for their kind-hearted and timely assistance to flood-stricken people and area.

On behalf of the SFDRR, Chairman Yang firstly expressed warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all the caring people from all walks of life. Reference to the floods of Aug 30, 2018 in Shantou and the gale disasters caused by the typhoon Mangkhut in Guangdong Province, Chairman Yang conducted an in-depth exchange and discussion with the representatives of all parties, including the dispatch of personnel and disaster relief materials; the experience of disaster prevention and relief; strengthening the deep cooperation between Shenzhen and Shantou etc, which achieved fruitful results. At the same time, Chairman Yang also emphasized that the economic and social development of Shenzhen can’t be separated from the dedication of the broad masses of people from Chaoshan, and we will continue to strengthen cooperation between Shenzhen and Shantou to achieve mutual assistance in the future.
